"Jamie Fackler is not a politician. He's a south end neighbor with strong values and a strong work ethic, who has spent years fighting for working families. Jamie led efforts to pass the Seattle Social Housing initiatives so that Seattle has more tools for building housing that workers can afford. Join me in supporting Jamie Fackler to serve the diverse working class communities across District 2 on the Seattle City Council."

I am a union shop steward that has organized in the workplace to stand up for safer working conditions, pushed back against discrimination and fought to protect jobs.
I have worked with coalition partners to organize a historic rally for city workers fighting for wages to keep pace with inflation, and still most can’t afford to live in the city they serve.
I am a father that has worked on PTA’s advocating for improved outcomes and closing the achievement gap. I have organized community members to save a bus route serving the visually impaired community that was impacted by a public works project.
As a 37th LD board member I helped get out the vote for Social Housing Prop 1A and get Democrats elected. I have been a Building inspector for a decade, ensuring that we are building safe homes and buildings, we all deserve a safe roof over our heads.
I believe in what we can do when we stand together. I have seen it. I’ve seen people win fights no one thought they could win and I believe we can do it again.

A FUTURE FOR SEATTLE
BUILDING AFFORDABLE AND SOCIAL HOUSING
We need to remove the red tape and provide full support for Union Built affordable housing that our community desperately needs.
Prop 1A is a critical step, and we must ensure its full implementation and support the developer who is committed to this vital work. It is unacceptable that the current administration is slow-walking the funding for Prop 1A. There is more work to be done to expand housing ownership options for people of all income levels.

FIXING ROAD SAFETY IN RAINIER VALLEY
The inequality in our system can be seen every day by people riding into our city on the Light Rail. Look at the stations at Rainier Beach, Othello, and Columbia City, how do these compare to what is now being built in North Seattle, Shoreline or Bellevue?
District 2 has the most dangerous roads in the city. People have been seriously injured and killed by the light rail on MLK. I am committed to working in partnership with SDOT and Sound Transit to solve this problem. We all deserve to make it home safe to our families.

ADDRESSING THE DRUG CRISIS
We need a comprehensive approach to the drug crisis that is impacting 12th and Jackson where my teenage son attends high school. This means investing in prevention, treatment, and mental health services, not just relying on failed policies of moving the problem from one neighborhood to the next.
We need to expand the CARE team and support the community organizations working on the front lines. We need to find real solutions that keep our communities safe and help those struggling with addiction. Moving the problem from wealthy neighborhoods to poor ones is nothing for politicians to hang their hat on. This is equivalent to a teenager cleaning their room by shoving everything under the bed. We deserve adult solutions!

This campaign isn’t about business as usual. It’s about people. About fairness. About a city that lives up to its promise.
Seattle is one of the richest cities on the planet. That’s not a talking point. It’s true. But walk down Jackson Street or ride the light rail through Rainier Valley, and it doesn’t feel that way. We’ve got billionaires dodging taxes while families go without the basics. This isn’t a crisis of resources, it’s a crisis of priorities.
Being in a union has taught me that we don’t have to accept things the way they are. We don’t have to accept a city that only works for a select few. If we organize--we can build a Seattle where everyone has a home, where every kid feels safe walking to school, where our communities are rooted, strong, and filled with hope, not fear.
But it’s going to take all of us. It’s going to take organizing. It’s going to take people stepping up for one another, again and again.
So here’s what I’m asking: Stand with me. Fight with me. Let’s organize. Let’s take back our city—not just for us, but for every worker, every renter, every family that’s been told they don’t belong.
Let’s build a Seattle where all of us can thrive—not just survive.

Our campaign is proud to participate in Seattle’s Democracy Voucher Program — an initiative to make elections more fair and accessible. Every Seattle resident receives $100 in vouchers to support any Seattle candidate they choose.
I need your help to qualify for donations from vouchers -- here's how you can do this:
DONATE
I’m currently in the qualification phase and need to gather 150 contributions of $10 or more to unlock the Democracy Vouchers I’ve received.
If you’re a Seattle resident and able to donate, please consider making a contribution. If you live outside Seattle, you can still donate, but your contribution won’t count toward voucher qualification.
SIGN
I will also need to collect 150 signatures to meet the qualification requirements.
Please take a moment to complete the form linked below and be sure to sign it the same way you would on your ballot.
SEND
While I’m in the qualification process, I’m also able to officially accept Democracy Vouchers! If you have yours, please fill it out with my name, Jamie Fackler, and send it in.
If you’ve misplaced your voucher or prefer to submit it electronically, you can request a replacement using the Democracy Voucher Replacement Form linked below.
